At Roetz Bikes I've been on the R&D Team for the new Roetz LIFE E-Bike. Supporting Senior Designer Olaf Wit with the final iteration of the frame design, rear triangle and the front and rear luggage carriers. Alongside the mechanical engineers on the team I've designed a Drive Belt Cover and a Belt Tensioner inside the drive module. I have also aided our interns on various projects, including some tooling ideas for the production line and a mobile workstand specifically for the LIFE Bike.
DRIVE BELT COVER
Measuring, sketching, 3D modelling and 3D Printing were all methods deployed to test the fit, the aesthetic and clearance issues with the belt cover on the Drive Module. This was a fun one!

OTHER WORKS:
SOLENOID BRACKET FOR BATTERY LOCK
MOTOR FOR AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFTING
(with TORQUE SENSING)
I did some testing to find out what solenoid we needed for our battery locking latch and what motor we could use for our Automatic gear-shifting with Torque Sensing.
